Mother won’t be charged for leaving her kids in the car during job interview
Charges will most likely be dropped against the Arizona mother who left her two children in the car during an interview.
Shanesha Taylor, 35, left her 2 year old and 6 month old in her Dodge Durango for 45 minutes while she went on a job interview at a Farmer’s Insurance Office, according to Madame Noire. People in Scottsdale, Arizona discovered the children and arrested Taylor.
Court documents stated that the windows of the car were rolled down about an inch and no air conditioning was running, as reported by Daily Mail. Taylor told police she was not able to find a babysitter for her boys. She also told them she was facing financial strife, sometimes not having anywhere to live.

Taylor was charged with two counts of child abuse, but now Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery is giving Taylor a chance to get the charges against her dropped.
Montgomery said in order for the charges to be dropped, Taylor must agree to complete parenting and substance abuse treatment classes, as well as creating education and child care funds for her children.
“Where we can focus on an opportunity for rehabilitation without having to use punitive consequences we’re always willing to take a look at that. And our resolution today shouldn’t be taken as a policy shift, this is just how we were able to resolve this one particular case,” said Montgomery.
Although Taylor’s children were taken out of her custody, a court commissioner granted her visits with both children in May under the supervision of a Child Protective Services specialist. She has since been able to make visits to both children regularly.
