Kids Busted For Creating Online Child Nudity Account

By  |  2 Comments

Police are urging for South Florida parents to check their children’s online activity after three teens have been accused of creating an Instagram account for soliciting and posting explicit images of other minors.

Police of Pembroke Pines have arrested two boys in connection with this Instagram account, ages 12 and 15, as well as a 13-year-old girl on Thursday. The minors face charges of child pornographic electronic transmission.

The investigation took place for 10-weeks before any arrests were made.

Police say that the account consisted of the teens telling their 500 followers to post nude picture or video of anyone that they wanted to expose. These posts included the name of the victim as well as their personal information.

Sgt. Drew Jacobs said that the numerous youth were exploited. Detectives are also likely to release more information come Friday.

Sgt. Jacobs told South Florida Sun Sentinel that he had no idea as to what prompted the investigation, how long the account had been active or how many teens were exploited on the account.

“All I know is its multiple,” he said.

Sgt. Carlos Corretjeir said Friday that the investigation is ongoing but he has declined to discuss further details of the case.

This is just like a previous story that took place a little under a year ago in Virginia. Take a look…
