Dad Told on Live TV That Missing Son Is In the Basement
When a Michigan man’s son went missing, host Nancy Grace had the dad on her show so he could spread the word about his missing son. Then something strange happened. The missing 12 year old was found during the broadcast………..in the basement of his own home. This has many people asking what really happened to young Charlie Bothuell and how he went missing for 11 days.
“We found him barricaded in the basement, behind boxes and a large five-gallon drum. There’s no way he could have erected this makeshift area of concealment,” Detroit Police Chief James Craig told CNN.
The father was being interviewed live on air by Nancy Grace when he received the news.
After Mr. Bothuell regained his composure from the shock of receiving the news, he said he had no clue that his son was hiding out in the basement.
“I checked my basement,” Bothuell said. “The FBI checked my basement. The police checked my basement. My wife checked my basement. I’ve been down there several times. We’ve all been checking.”
The boy disappeared after he left his home on June 14.
“He had — you know, not done some of his chores and instead of arguing at him or fussing or anything, my wife just said OK,” his father explained to Nancy Grace. “I got a call back from my wife at 9:45 saying that Charlie was gone.”
The father says the family has been searching for him ever since.
“I’ve been going door to door since he disappeared,” he said. “We didn`t sleep. We did fliers. We called family members. And we have been doing everything we can since to get the word out to get our son back home.”
Chief Craig confirmed that police had searched the home with dogs prior to finding the 12 year old.
Mr. Bothuell says he is disturbed by people insinuating that he knew his son was hiding in the basement all along.
“For anybody to imply that I somehow knew my son was in the basement is absurd and wrong. I love my son. I’m glad that he’s home,” Bothuell said.

It is apparent that during the dog search, the boy wasn’t in the home, but was somehow placed in the home AFTER the dog search ended. Hmmmmm
