Miss Jamaica Gets Robbed of the Miss Universe Title

The Miss Universe Pageants are known for their beautiful women in swim wear and amazing ball gowns.

But last night was a night of robbery, according to many viewers in the audience and at home. After Miss Columbia\ was crowned the winner, many thought that Miss Jamaica should have won. They showed their disappointment by booing the 22 year old winner, Paulina Vega.

After leaving the stage of the 63rd annual Miss Universe contest, 22 year old, Miss Kaci Fennell instantly began trending on Twitter with the following hashtag, #MissJamaicaShouldHaveWon.

Many claimed that Miss Jamaica had amazing poise and that her stage presence was something that should have been appreciated by the judges. With her glowing skin and Halle Berry styled haircut, many thought that Miss Fennell was way more stunning than any of the other women in this particular pageant. Even though she left the pageant as the 4th Runner Up.

Miss Paulin Vega is from Barranquilla, Columbia and is currently getting her degree in business administration and does not plan to compete in anymore Miss Universe pageants. She is ready to return back to school and complete her education.

Even though all of the fans were highly upset, Miss Jamaica still presented herself with plenty of style as grace as a pageant contestant should have.

Proudly stating Bob Marley as her country’s greatest worldwide contribution and Usian Bolt as her countries fastest person during the pageant Q&A, viewers felt that it was Miss Jamaica’s answers as well as her race, which kept her from winning.

During the pageant, Fennell acknowledged her short Halle Berry inspired hair style and in doing that she went against every tradition in any Miss Universe competition.

“I don’t have long tresses like everyone else, I’m just representing myself and that’s what beauty pageants are all about,” she proudly told the crowd and host of the pageant, Natalie Morales.

The world may be taking her loss hard, but Miss Jamaica said that she is okay with placing 5th in the competition. After all, she has only been modeling for 3 years… Not bad when you’re going up against women who have been modeling for their whole lives.

We wish Miss Jamaica all the best.
