What Does Your Hair Say About You? (Video)

Some like it straight, some like it curly, some like it wavy, some like it covered in wigs and weaves, some like it colored and some like it tucked away from the rest of the world. So what does your hair say about you? Are you a ‘tuck away’ kind of girl? Do you lavish yourself in fabulous weaves? Or are you just raw, natural and upfront with your kinky, coiled twists?

Many African American women would be able to relate to this particular topic in many different ways, because we are all women of diversity in the hair category. You will never be able to find any one hair pattern that is 100% completely identical to the next persons hair pattern.

I personally believe that your hair texture and curl pattern are what can determine the way that you feel about your own hair and with your control, you can tell people what your hair says about you without having to say a word.

Women express themselves through big hair, flat hair, short hair, long hair, curly hair, relaxed hair, colored hair and many other different creative techniques that have been passed down from multiple generations.

I feel that your hair can represent you and allow you to feel just as beautiful as you desire. We should not criticize each other based on the hair texture that we carry. There is no such thing as good hair, or bad hair. There are so many ways to start a conversation and a black womans hair can be the main topic of any conversation at any given time. I feel that we should embrace that power and be proud of our tresses.
