Most people know of Vivica A. Fox. This probably has to do with her popular appearances alongside the likes of Will Smith in the movie “Independence Day,” or alongside Jada Pinkett and Queen Latifah in “Set if Off,” and who can forget the comedic favorite “Booty Call” with Jamie Foxx and Tommy Davidson.

What most people may not know about Vivica A. Fox; however, is that she does not feel as if less mainstream movies are beneath her. The actress just recently illustrated that she does not discriminate when it comes to a check. Fox was recently announced as the newest addition to SyFy’s sequel to “Sharknado.”

The network made their announcement on Thursday. Fox will be accompanied by fellow newcomers, Mark McGrath, Kelly Osbourne, Judd Hirsch, Andy D!ck and Judah Friedlander. The official title of the film is “Sharknado 2: The Second One.”

According to eurweb.com, the plot of the movie involves a freak weather system, which turns its deadly fury on New York City. This causes Sharknado to be released on the population, as well as “its most cherished, iconic sites.”

The character to be played by Fox is called Skye. She is an old high school friend of Fin, who will be played by a returning star, Ian Ziering. Kelly Osbourne is expected to play a flight attendant; Andy D!ck is to portray a New York City police officer. Judah Friedlander will play the role of Brian, and Judd Hirsch, who starred in the TV series “Taxi,” will play a cab driver named Ben. Mark McGrath will play Ben’s brother-in-law, as reported by eurweb.com.

Model and actress Tara Reid will also be a returning star in the movie.
