Kanye West’s Adidas Clothing Line Includes Outfit that Makes You Look Naked
In the past weeks, the tabloids’ focus has been on Kanye West’s clothing line, which was promoted during New York Fashion Week as a part of his collaboration with Adidas.
The models presented contemporary fashion and the clothes were called “solution-based,” according to West, who thinks that his clothing line expresses “worldliness” and is created to be “universal” in order to be worn “from the gym to the office to a meeting to the airport and everywhere in between”. Women wanted to test the new product straightaway, so several female writers and models paraded the streets of New York wearing clothes similar to pieces found in West’s line. Writer Deni Kirkova, 24, stepped outside her home and onto the streets wearing full flesh-colored body stocking, which came very close to the version of stockings seen on the New York Fashion runway. She combined a crop top, bralette, leggings, parka jacket and pants from Mark and Spencer to wear over the top. Her idea was to analyze the reactions of the public.
“It’s quite funny to walk around dressed like this now, and it’s a bit of a laugh, but I wouldn’t dare to go out like this seriously,” she said.
Some people were fascinated by her look, though. “I’m quite surprised that people on the street generally like my outfit to be honest— some fashion know-it-all praised how bold it was, noting the Kanye West influence, and said that the jacket and lipstick went well with the all-nude look”.
West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, supported the clothing line and wore a similar outfit and posted an Instagram photo of it celebrating her husband’s taste for high fashion. Fashion critics mainly agree with this statement, beginning with Vogue Editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and Brand Designer Alexander Wang.
