Bobby Brown May Inherit Ex-Wife Whitney Houston’s Estate

An unfortunate incident led to the hospitalization of Bobby Kristina Brown last weekend. Bobbi Kristina inherited all of her mom,Whitney Houston’s net worth after the legendary singer’s death. It resulted in a disrupted relationship between her and other family members. She received 10 percent of the estate on her 21st birthday and was set to inherit all of it when she turned 30.The family feud over her mother’s inheritance and their resentment left her emotionally abandoned.
Now, after having been in the hospital for almost a week after being found unresponsive in the bathtub and reportedly suffering brain damage, her family has been told to prepare for the worst. The devastating news that she may not recover is a painful reality for her loved ones.
Amidst the tragedy, her family members instead of pondering about how they could have helped Bobby come out of her depression are playing the blame game. It is sad that media mogul Tyler Perry reportedly had to separate Nick Gordon and Bobby Kristina’s father from her bedside before a physical fight occurred.
Revelation of the fact that Bobbi Kristina and the man who she called her ‘husband,’ Nick Gordon, were not legally married could mean a fortune for her father, singer Bobby Brown. If the worst-case scenario happens and Bobbi Kristina does not survive, since she has no will, it could mean that her father is set to inherit an estimated $20 million dollar estate that was left to his daughter by Houston, as per Georgia law.

Shereen Renee, you are so right in your post. This should be an incentive for all Black wealthy or not to face the fact none of us will live forever. Business is business, buy life insurance of the WHOLE family, make a living will, trust, or something in writing that states your final wishes.
This is so disheartening that none of the family thought to get her help and treatment following the death of her mother. Cissy, Bobby, her aunts all dropped the ball on this one. Bobbi Kristina should NEVER had sought to be with someone considered her brother, he stepped-in at her lowest point in life.
Bobby moved on with his life, but (speculating) little girls NEED their fathers to stay in their lives, and I do not think this may have been on his mind.
Whitney, Cissy, Bobby, and others should have instituted fact about money; even more, looking to help others as KeKe Palmer and other young women with parents living or dead. We want our children to have everything, but life skills are essential for them to really know what it is to LIVE.
Whatever the outcome, there are NO winners, just hurt in both families.

Looking at his face and how weary it is, I seriously doubt he really cares about what money is or isn’t left right now. Barring a miracle, he will be the one who will have to make the decision to disconnect his eldest child from life support.

If that is the law, I agree with it. Whitney loved Bobby Brown, they shared some heavy duty time together, and they were a family. He should inherit the money. Too many people blamed Brown for Houston’s addiction when the truth is; Whitney was getting high way before she him. That’s what attracted them to each other. It was convenience, neither one of them would have to hide their addiction. Also Whitney’s whole family has addiction problems. That money belongs to her husband.

I know the author meant well, but Bobby Brown is not the beneficiary of Whitney’s Estate. Since she did not have a will, her estate went to her daughter. If her daughter should pass away, the estate goes to the next living relative, Cissy Houstan Once you are divorced, you do not have any vested interest in your ex spouses estate…… this is why people get divorced in the first place. Please check your facts involving estate law before writing

The worst thing Whitney ever did, was to marry into that family. It is obvious to me they never cared about Whitney or Bobbi as we can see by the behavior they are displaying now. As for Bobby Brown I saw a photo of him going into the hospital dressed like a 15 year old. He was a bad father and even worse father, and those tears are tears of GUILT.

Didn’t Whitney’s will give everything to her daughter, then her husband, mother and siblings equally if something should happen to her child? Believe me, before Cissy came to Atlanta, she had already consulted a lawyer and the family will do whatever it takes to keep Bobby from getting that money. It seems like Nick and his dealer friend is in the police cross hairs for some reason yet to be played out. Wait and see what is coming.

Everyone needs to read the will before speaking. The will states in the event anything happens to her daughter the estate is divided evenly between her parents ,,Bobby and her brothers. The money she already has Bobby would be entitled to all of Bobbi Kristina property and money but Whitneys money is another story.
Also Whitney was using drugs before she met Bobby…Bobby is a great person

The only concern should be Bobbi Christina surviving completely. Why is money such an issue? Lets just pray for Bobbi. She needs us, she needs love right now. She can sense the disgust. Bobby brown is her father, let him be her father, Whitney’s family is important as well. We must stop this battle for the sake of Bobbi Christina. The battle over who gets what after she dies is morbid. It is sickening. God is in charge, lets wait for Him to bring her back to life, or to take her to her mother. Money is not Bobbi Christina’s concern at this time.
