How To: High Bun On Natural Hair (Video Tutorial Inside)

Tired of fighting with your natural hair every morning? I know the feeling girl! You are trying to rush out of the door because you are going to be late for work, the last thing that you want to wrestle with in the morning is your hair. The easiest and fastest hair idea that could help you with timing and keep your stress level down is just to wear a bun. Buns are chic and sexy and they look good on any woman. Now if your length permits it then you won’t have to add hair into your bun. (If you do have to add hair then that will be in a later blog post)
In the video below, a young lady by the name of BlakIzBeautyful will show you girls how to successfully style your hair in a fabulous bun to get your day started in a good light.
In this video, BlakIzBeautyful shows all of the products that she uses, Shea Moisture leave-in conditioner (or any leave in of your choice), Shea Moisture Moisturizing Cream and the infamous Eco Styling Gel that can work on any texture of natural hair. She also starts with freshly co-washed hair because doing this style on oily and dirty hair won’t work. Your hair won’t lay the way that it is suppose to, it will just simply curl its self to coils.
Now, the interesting thing that I found about this young lady is that she just had a child and experienced some extreme post-partum shedding (something that a lot of mothers go through) and because of it she lost a lot of the hair around her edges.
Because of this, she packed her hair with the Eco Styler Gel, some women would think that using too much gel can be damaging to the hair, but its not. The Eco Styler Gel is specially made for women with natural hair, not drying out the hair or causing breakage.
She also shows how you can successfully smooth down this bun without causing any damage to your edges or the hair that goes into the pony tail.
