Dr. Dre Donates $10 Million to Compton High School Arts Center

It is always kind to give than to receive. It is the only surest way of giving back to the society which the needy to appreciate life.
In the recent past, celebrities have been engaging in recommendable philanthropy through initiating charity programs aimed at improving the lives of the less fortunate.
Compton High School kids are all smiles after becoming significant beneficiaries of such charitable support.
Dr. DRE reportedly stated that his primary objective was to provide the children with the necessary tools and make them access equipment that would enable them to get the quality education which will ensure their smooth learning.
The rapper has thus donated $10 million to help in the construction of a performing arts theater complex at the Compton school.
Dr. Dre’s Thursday contribution will enable the students to have a premium-class technology. The students will have access to digital media studios and a theater complex that will handle a capacity of approximately 1200 students.
While announcing his $10 million contributions towards the initiative, Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, stated that his objective for the drive was to allow students have access to the learning equipment that would, in turn, shape their future life.
The legendary rapper believes that through his contributions, students will have a conducive environment that would allow them to be creative and skillful, hence progress academically.
However, construction workers will still have to wait a little bit longer to start working on the project which is scheduled to begin in 2020.
Dr. Dre is now planning to pool more funds through fundraising and by joining hands with well-wishers, with the same vision.
Dr. Dre has received a lot of praises for his planned investment from different people within his hometown community. According to the Forbes Magazine, the rapper has a net worth of around $740 million.
It is, however, not the first time to be involved in such charitable roles. Dr. Dre previously made contributions to Compton elementary school by donating iPads to students.
Dr. DRE together with Kendrick Lamar attended the local Centennial High School, and they understand the struggles faced by students, thus, their desire to help the black community in their hometown.
