‘GET OUT’ Earns A Whopping $30 Million In The First Weekend

Famous comedian Jordan Peele’s directorial debut for ‘Get Out’ has seemed to make a major splash in the box offices for its opening weekend.

Recent studio estimates showed that by the Sunday showing of the film it had already earned upward of $30.5 million, which allowed Peele and the cast to move on up to the first place slot in box offices.

The well-reviewed movie only cost about $4.5 million to make and overly exceeded the profits by nearly 8 times the amount paid to create the thought provoking horror film.

‘Get Out’ pushed the ‘Lego Batman Movie’ down into the second place slot. However, the animated family film was able to add on another $19 million to their already earned $114 million profit. This left the Lego franchise film at a whopping $133 million after only three weeks in theatres.

We are so happy for Mr. Peele and the fact that this film was able to do so well. There are many angry white folks out there saying that this movie is “anti-white,” however, we are just glad that Mr. Peele wasn’t afraid to bring racism to the forefront for all to witness.
