Gabrielle Union has made a name for herself in television and movies, thanks to shows like Being Mary Jane and so much more, and now she is preparing for something even bigger and even better.

Combining her passion for women’s rights with her outspoken personality and incredible ability to fight against the standards of beauty that exist in this country, Union is now working on becoming our favorite beauty activist, making the leap from actress to haircare entrepreneur.

The Bring It On actress has now partnered up with the company behind some of the biggest products for Macadamia Natural Oil in order to develop her own line, Flawless.

Debuting on March 1 on the brand’s website, Flawlesshair.com, the line will range between the prices of $19 and $29, and it will include several different shampoos, conditioners, hair masques, blow dry creams, hair protection spray, shine spray, oil treatments and even an edge control to slick them baby hairs!

And her choice to enter into the space of haircare only comes after she said, “I want to have a seat at the table, and part of that is having ownership.”

She also wants to give more options to women with natural hair who are underrepresented in the market. “I want women with textured hair to have great hair days,” she says. “I went through a phase where I would leave my relaxer on so long, thinking the longer I leave this relaxer on, the straighter it’s going to be. Cut to lesions, like open wounds in my scalp, trying to chase something that was unrealistic, and eventually probably in my mid- to late-20s I decided to give up my relaxer, and I went natural. By natural I mean underneath the weaves, extensions, clips and the hair color was my natural hair — thriving.”

So, what are your thoughts on this news? Are you excited for the talented actress?
