Stacey Dash Gets Fired From FOX & Black Twitter Celebrates

Sounds like the chickens have finally come home to roost!

Actress and BET “frienemy” Stacey Dash has now been fired from Fox News and black people are literally celebrating over the dismissal of the controversial sellout.

Dash has been a well-known contributor for this particular network since 2014, however, she hasn’t been on air since early 2016. According to a report from the Hollywood Reporter, Fox made the decision to dismiss a renewal of Dash’s contract this coming fall.

The famous ‘Clueless’ star still has yet to comment on the news of her departure, however, her Twitter account still has her listed as one of the contributors of the popular network.

During the time that Dash was on Fox News, she’d often made several headlines for some of her controversial statements. Back in December of 2015, she’d been temporarily suspended for cursing on-air while giving her thoughts on Barack Obama’s terrorism speech.

“I didn’t feel any passion from him,” she said. “I feel like he could give a s—, excuse me, he could care less.”

Fox’s Senior Exec Vice President Bill Shine spoke in a statement with Entertainment Tonight, saying that Dash was suspended for a total of two weeks for her comments that were deemed “completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air.”Though Dash did seem apologetic and even tweeted that she would gladly accept the consequences, it does seem that Fox could care less about her alleged sincerity. The actress also made other headlines in January of last year when she’d appeared on ‘Fox & Friends’ and made the suggestion that we get rid of television channels that are geared toward African Americans, such as BET… Even though, she was once apart of the network when she was an actress on one of their most popular shows, ‘The Game’.Related image

“We have to make up our minds,” she said. “Either we want to have segregation or integration. And if we don’t want segregation, then we need to rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the (NAACP) Image Awards where you’re only awarded if you’re black. If it were the other way around, we would be up in arms. It’s a double standard.”

During that conversation, Dash also suggested that we get rid of Black History Month… Now look who done lost they’re damn job.

So, what are your thoughts? Are you happy for her? I know I sure am… Now, will she be crawling back to BET for a check?
