Ladies, if you get your hair permed, watch out for the disaster below. See these images from TMZ below?
These are images of women who have been burned–literally and figuratively from L’Oréal hair relaxer. Some of these women are even bald now due to the defective product.
“A class action suit against the company was filed in September, demanding more than $5 million, TMZ noted in an earlier report. The suit includes a list of consumer complaints on Amazon.com from angry customers who reportedly went bald from using its SoftSheen-Carson Optimum Amla Legend No-Mix, No-Lye Relaxer, which, TMZ reports, touts to be healthy and safe because of its use of Amla oil and the lack of lye.”- theroot.com
To add insult to injury, TMZ says, L’Oréal brushed off complaints, saying its packaging warns of the danger of possible hair loss and that it clearly instructs its customers how to use the product safely.
“Lawyers Ben Meiselas and Mark Geragos, who are representing the alleged victims, said that L’Oréal acknowledged that the product contains dangerous chemicals despite advertising the product as one that “protects the scalp and skin.”- theroot.com
This is not my area of expertise, because I have never gotten a perm or a relaxer, so ladies that get perms and relaxers, what do you think about this story?
