John Legend is not feeling his friend Kanye West’s meeting with President-elect Donald Trump and he is not afraid to say it.
When asked about his thoughts on the meeting that took place between Kanye and Trump in an interview with France’s Clique TV, via FACT Magazine Legend said: “Whatever’s in his mind, I disagree with him” and that he was “disappointed” by Kanye’s onstage rant where he revealed that he “would have voted for Trump” if he had voted in the 2016 election.
Legend continued saying, “I think Trump has been corrosive to the country. I think the things he’s promised to do have been very concerning for a lot of people and for Kanye to support that message is very disappointing. I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to [Trump] about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt. I think Kanye was a publicity stunt.”
Sheesh, harsh words, but they are NEEDED because Kanye really is moving like he really lost his damn mind foreal.
On Tuesday, Kanye tweeted that his meeting with Trump covered “multicultural issues,” and TMZ said that the topics also included ending the violence in Chicago. Then Wednesday morning, Kanye tweeted Trump’s gift to him: a signed copy of himself on as Time’s Person of the Year, with the scribbled message: “To Kanye, you are a great friend. Thanks.”
