Ed Hartwell Finally Speaks Out On Divorce From Keshia Knight-Pulliam

Keshia Knight-Pulliam’s marriage to former NFL star Ed Hartwell has seemed to fall apart right in front of our eyes just in the past few months, according to what Hartwell told ‘Page Six TV’.

Speaking to the popular media outlet for the very first time since filing for his divorce on Monday, Hartwell, 38, says that their marriage had been torn apart by jealousy, disagreements on when they would start a family and even suspicion of infidelity from both partners.

Hartwell, who married Pulliam, 37, back in January of this year after only dating for four months, says that they stopped being romantic with one another once the romance went sour – however he does claim that she was extremely fixated on getting pregnant and he suspects that she did go behind his back to do so.

He explained that after they wed, “she wanted a baby really fast, and what I was trying to explain to her was that — from my beliefs, from seeing other successful people — that when you first get married, especially since we didn’t have a long courtship, that we should actually focus on each other and not just have a baby. That’s something she really did want to do.”

Hartwell added that back in February he sat down and spoke with his wife, “I said, ‘I think we probably messed up. I think we moved too fast. Our lives and wants are headed in two different directions.’”

During their conversation, Hartwell confessed that his ex of four years had “lost a baby” and that made him realize that he still “cared about her.” Knight Pulliam was upset and, according to him, virtually disappeared from his life.

“[Knight Pulliam] wasn’t mad that I still cared about her,” Hartwell, who played for the Baltimore Ravens, said. “All she was a mad about was, ‘You don’t want to have a baby, but you’re mad about her baby. You can’t talk to her 13-year-old daughter. And there was a big fall-out.”
