Body of Two-Year-Old Girl Found In The Woods

A dog walker found the body of a two-year-old baby girl from Pittsburgh on Sunday night in the woods, at around 8 p.m.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the little girl as Adrionna Williams.
County homicide detectives said that the girl’s body was found right before 8 p.m. in a shallow ravine near Calmer’s Street, a road that has been closed to cars for some time, but is accessible by foot.
Swissvale police Chief Greg Geppert claims that he was told by the girl’s family that she had walked away from the house, but police have not found any reason to think that the little girl would walk away alone to the spot where she was found dead. They think that she may have been taken there after she died.
Investigators also do not believe that the girl had been abducted by a stranger and they are currently treating her death as a homicide.
“At this point in the investigation we do not believe the child walked to the location where she was discovered,” Allegheny County homicide Lt. Andre Schurman told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
An autopsy was started on Monday, and testing of the body will continue throughout the week.
Adrionna’s family reported the child missing to Wilkinsburg police at about 7:05 pm, telling officers that she was spotted alive at about 6:30 pm.
Less than an hour later, a woman who was walking her dog spotted the body of the little girl in the woods.
There were apparently no signs that a violent crime had taken place where Adrionna’s body was found.
Anyone who may have details on this developing story is being asked to contact Allegheny County police.
The investigation is still ongoing.
We at Naturally Moi will keep her family in our prayers, and best of wishes to her parents.
