Beyoncé has received major backlash after teasing her “big announcement” in advance for her Good Morning America interview, as her fans woke up on Monday morning to find out that she wasn’t talking about anything of any major importance… Just her vegan diet.

To their surprise, and disappointment, the previously recorded GMA segment solely talked about her lifestyle of veganism, something that her fans have already known about.

“I’m not naturally the thinnest woman. I have curves,” she said in an exclusive clip. “I have struggled since a young age with diets. Finding something that actually works and keeps the weight off has been difficult for me.”

Beyoncé’s vegan diet began when she and her hubby, Jay-Z, took a 22-day vegan challenge around the time of his birthday. She said that she liked how she felt afterward so much that she just kept eating the right way.

“After having my daughter, I made a conscious effort to regain control of my health and my body. But I didn’t want to do a crash diet,” she wrote in the forward of Borges’ book The 22-Day Revolution. “I was a mom now. I needed to change my ways and set an example for my child.”

And while this was Bey’s first time speaking out about her diet on camera, it’s not the first time that fans have heard that exact same spiel, and they were upset that they’d gotten their hopes up for nothing more than the same things they’d already knew.

Some of her fans even went as far as venting their thoughts on Twitter, and others even posted non-vegan emoji’s on her Instagram photos.

So what do you think about this news? Did they have to dramatize the matter as if it were such a big deal? Or could they have just made it simple and plain?
