From 1989 to ’93 if you were a teen or younger, Saturday mornings were spent reveling in a day off from school by watching Zack, Slater and the gang at Bayside High.  “Saved By the Bell” was corny and inane with plots that were paper thin –and kids couldn’t get enough of it.  The show  was so popular it launched two spinoffs, a soundtrack and even a comic book.  Talk of a reunion show was the stuff of urban legends, until Jimmy Fallon made it happen—well, sort of.

The “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” host has always been a fan of the show and even launched a reunion campaign. Now that he’s the king of late night talk, Fallon decided to make the reunion happen and got the cast members together for a skit on his show. Missing in action though was Lark Voorhies.

Voorhies played fashionista, gossip queen and unrequited love of Screech, Lisa Turtle. Voorhies released a statement saying she would have loved to have been a part of the Fallon reunion skit but, “due to an intense work schedule she was not available”.
