According to court documents, legendary mega rap star Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter is currently tied up in an ugly legal battle with a 21-year-old man who claims to be his son.

The National Enquirer uncovered papers showing that Carter is being sued by Rymir Satterthwaite, an aspiring rapper.

Satterthwaite told a New Jersey court that his mother, Wanda, and Jay Z had a steamy affair in the 1990s and that the celebrity has done everything in his power to try and cover it up. According to the magazine, Satterthwaite accused the entrepreneur— who has a 3-year-old daughter with pop star Beyoncé— of avoiding to take a paternity test.

In 2010, a judge dismissed a similar case in which Satterthwaite’s mother tried to force Jay Z to submit a paternity test after another man turned out to not be the young man’s father.

The judge dismissed the case simply because he ruled that his court took jurisdiction over Jay Z, and not because the court concluded that he was not Satterthwaite’s biological father.

The dismissal of the case gave Lillie Coley, Satterthwaite’s guardian, the push to file a 2014 civil lawsuit. Coley alleges that Jay Z and his lawyer, Lisa Fisher, have given “false” and “fraudulent” information to the judge, arguing that he lied to the court when he claimed that he lived in New York and not in New Jersey, where many claim that he owns three houses.

Wow! What do you guys think about this crazy case? Does Jay Z seem to have a fight on his hands with this one? Or do you think that Wanda and her son are trying to use her past relationship with Jay Z to swindle him out of money? After all, this is not the first time that Jay Z has been caught up in some ugly paternity rumor. Some say that these stories come from people attempting to con the musical family, but it seems to happen more often than not.
