Anyone with natural hair knows just how bad shrinkage sucks! It sucks bad!!!!!!! You could have 12 inches of hair from your nape but it literally looks like its only 4 inches of curls.. I hate that!

I have figured out a great way to manage your shrinkage and it is totally harmless to your glorious, beautiful tresses.

It’s super simple and its something that anyone can do. Just follow these instructions and you will receive great results, without any massive heat damage or ridiculous breakage.

Stop That Shrinkage… Because It Sucks! Lesson 1

One of the major ways that I stretch my shrinked hair after shampooing  is by using a blow dryer. This is a method that is less harmful to the hair because it is air, you aren’t sticking your beautiful hair in between two hot metal plates to stretch it. You are simply using the comb from the dryer and combing through your wet hair.

When using the blowdryer to tame and stretch you hair it is best to use the standard amount of heat. If you set your blowdryer to blow out heat that it hotter than you can handle then its going to be a bad idea because you are putting yourself in a position to experience great heat damage.

Look at heat damage as if it were your house… When your house burns down it can’t be brought back to life. It is officially dead. This is the same case when it comes to your hair.

Heat protectant and standard amounts of heat are doable when it comes to stretching your hair.

When using a blow dryer to strectch your hair, the best option for any type of product to apply to the hair is heat protectant or any heat serum of your choice.
