Naturally Triece: 5 Resolution Lies We All Tell Ourselves
By: Naturally Triece
With the New Year being one of the best times of year, being that you are starting off fresh once again, it is not uncommon for any and every American to make some of those same typical New Years resolutions that most of them won’t keep. Lets be honest, you plan to start going to the gym every year and by February you have already tapped out.
We need to make resolutions not based on it being a new year, but based on whether its something that we really want to do or not. If you have to put a starting date on your resolution then more than likely you aren’t going to stick to it.
So, in lite of the New Years bull crap that many of us constantly tell ourselves, here is a list of resolutions that most of us don’t even stick to but tell ourselves every single year.
Resolution Lie 1: Lose Weight/Start Working Out
I can’t tell you how tired I am of those people who say that they are going to start exercising on January 1st, take up all of the good equipment and then on February you never see them again. Girl bye! You were just lying to yourself and everyone else.
Resolution Lie 2: Quit Smoking
We all know that smoking is bad for you and can’t do anything for you. It makes your breath, hair and clothes smell bad and it also stains your teeth as well as your lungs. I would say only maybe 10% of Americans actually stick to this resolution.
Resolution Lie 3: Stop Drinking
Drinking, just like smoking, is nothing but an addiction. It is something that you know is bad for you but most people only make this resolution the day after experiencing a bad hang over or too much of a turn up. This resolution goes in the same direction as the resolution for not smoking… No where!
Resolution Lie 4: Live Stress Free
Yeah, uhh, No! We all say this, I’ll admit that I am one of those people. But we all have that one annoying co-worker who just makes us all have an out-of-body experience when we are sitting in our cubicle. And then that’s when Renee walks out and Nay Nay comes in. Then you have officially broken your New Years resolution on January 2nd.
Resolution Lie 5: Spend Less Time On Social Media
Forget about the fact that you have internet on your phone, on your television and on your tablets as well as your laptops. I believe in you… Not! We all know that this is a hard one. I know I can’t do it so I didn’t even dare to make this ridiculous resolution. I’m not strong enough. lol
But that is all for my 5 New Years Resolutions that probably won’t be kept. I do wish you all a prosperous New Year with lots of love, laughter and some trials to make you even stronger and prouder to walk into 2016.
Thank you for reading this article and Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
