Nicki Minaj Releases Short film that was inspired by her own personal tragedy

Nicki Minaj has definitely dominated 2014 and now she’s wrapping up the year with a bang.  Not only is she dropping her new album “The PinkPrint,” she also has a short film to come with it: The PinkPrint Movie.

Nicki Minaj is proving to be quite a chameleon.  First she enters the scene with gritty and raw rap flows and lyricism, blowing everyone away with incredibly witty word play.  Then she transitions into the Pop world, where she’s singing, dancing, and wearing so much make-up you can barely recognize her…

But in this film, what we witness is Nicki being her most authentic self, which for a second, we thought we’d never see.  The questionable doubt of Nicki being an authentic artist diminishes over and over again in her 16 minute short, as she takes on an adventure between the dilemma of her relationships and her recent car accident. Her story is narrated by the three songs “The Crying Game,” “I Lied,” and “Grand Piano.”
