Lisa Bonet comments about that horrible Cosby tweet

Lisa Bonet is one of the few people who seems to have had a 20-year issue with Bill Cosby.  The actress fought back against him for years, and was eventually released from the show because she refused to live by his rules.   So, when someone set up a fake twitter account pretending to be Bonet, everyone paid attention.

The viral hoax ended up breaking the Internet for a few hours, with outlets as large as Fox News and The New York Post reporting the news as if it were true.  It turns out that it was all fake, and Bonet’s reps are now clearing everything up.

Bonet issued a statement through her reps, making it entirely clear that she has nothing to say about Cosby’s numerous allegations.  Her reps are also stating that she has no Twitter account and no intention of becoming addicted to social media like the rest of us.   So, if you were looking for Bonet to clear up the Cosby thing for you, you were barking up the wrong tree. buy doxycycline cheap no prescription

Here is part of the take from People Magazine:

“Lisa Bonet has no social media of any kind,” her manager tells PEOPLE. “Any posts made in her name were made by impersonators with unverified accounts. She also has no comment on the ongoing story.”

“According to the karma of past actions, one’s destiny unfolds, even though everyone wants to be so lucky,” read the tweet, which was posted on an account using Bonet’s name. “Nothing stays in the dark 4ever!”

Many falsely took that as Bonet — who played Cosby’s daughter Denise on The Cosby Show from 1989 to 1992 — addressing the numerous sexual-assault allegations against the 77-year-old comedian. (The actor has denied the claims through his lawyer.)

The fake Twitter account has since been suspended. Gossip Cop was first to report the hoax.

Bill recently performed to a standing ovation, sold-out crowd in Florida, so he he has his share of supporters.  But he continues to have detractors, and the heat is getting hot on the old comedian.  At some point, he may have to make a statement, or he may choose to live out the remainder of his days in shame and silence.   NBC and TV Land have already parted ways with Cosby, and aren’t going to air anything with his name on it.
One thing Cosby’s accusers don’t have, however, is actual evidence that he committed any of these crimes.  That’s pretty much all Cosby has to hold onto right now.    What do you think?  Are the allegations enough, or do they need more proof? buy lexapro cheap no prescription gives an interesting take on exactly what happened between Bonet and Cosby.  Their POV is that Cosby actually tried very hard to keep Bonet around, especially since she was a fan favorite.  But Bonet’s rebellious nature made it difficult to work with her.  But there are always three sides to every story:  His side, her side and the truth.  Here’s what they said:

With her typical teenage carefree attitude and her cutting-edge fashion sense, Denise Huxtable became an audience favorite early in the series. Lisa Bonet, who portrayed the character, received the most fan mail and was the media darling during the first season of the show, particularly amongst male teenagers. Bonet exhibited unprofessional behavior on the set (arriving late every day, being argumentative, etc.), so Cosby chose to pass the buck by “spinning off” her character into her own series, A Different World. Always a cheerleader when it came to touting higher education, Cosby was eager to spotlight the daily lives of students at a predominantly black university. Bonet thumbed her nose at this opportunity, however, and disrupted things further by announcing her pregnancy and engagement to musician Lenny Kravitz. Ever-tolerant Cosby temporarily brought Denise back to the Huxtable fold (until oversized shirts failed to conceal her impending motherhood) and then sent her character off to Africa to work as a photographer’s assistant.

Other accounts by insiders claim that Bonet was often unhappy with Cosby and didn’t care much for the chance to be on the show.  Fox News says that in 2002, when Bonet turned down a chance to be a part of a reunion show, she told Bill and everyone else to get lost. “Year after year, we watched Bill throw Lisa one bone after another, and all she did was bite his hand. The rest of us were happy to be on a hit show, but Lisa didn’t seem to appreciate her good fortune.”
