Usher’s ex-wife Tameka gets bank account garnished to pay $200,000 lawsuit
Tameka Raymond, the ex-wife of the singer Usher, has had a hard time since the two were divorced. According to TheJasmineBrand.com, Raymond recently had her bank account garnished in order to pay off a $200,000 lawsuit.
In 2010, Tameka was sued by Antelope Valley Plaza. She had signed a lease with the company for three spaces for her business, which consisted of an indoor playground for kids. Unfortunately, the venture didn’t work out the way she wanted, and she found herself in dire financial straits.
Damages were awarded in the amount of $204,665.15, leaving Tameka to lose the $13,000 or so she had in her Bank of America checking account.
This leads to an interesting question about the lives of celebrity exes, and whether some of them have a hard time letting go. Tameka is a star on the reality TV show, “Atlanta Exes,” and even though she and Usher have been divorced for several years, she and others on the show seem to live off of the names and incomes of the men they were once married to.

When you marry for money then you’re a gold digger, she was much older to be marrying Usher anyway , and his mother was right all along, she was not the woman for him. So as gild digger this is what happens, spending money you don’t have, besides, she not the brightest bulb in the box, never was, who leaves money in the bank when you’re being sued? This is what happens when you don’t use your brains and know how to protect your paper, the feds/courts will seize your paper $$$!

Those reality show stars, are such phonies. They are a bunch of empty heads who really don’t have much going for them. I just saw an episode of exes where she was moving and had all this “stuff” No assests just stuff. We need solid role models for our young black women.

I believe he was insensitive and did her wrong,but she held her head up and kept going. She almost died trying to alter herself to please him. With that being said. She needs to live with in her means and find her calling. Start off small,if she is trying to start a business and build from there. Many black men are using their fame and wealth,along with money hungry lawyers,to dog out many Black women. And taking the children,smdh,from the mothers. So,they can keep their money to give it to True Golddiggers and women preditores. I can name a few,but I won’t. Sisters,before you become involved with celeb. Or marry them before they become celebs, get papers drawn and protect you and your children. Black men lose their minds when they become rich and famous. They treat you like dogs and white women like queens. We know why.
