“Got No Nιggas” Writes White University of Alabama Sorority Sisters

A University of Alabama sorority that received heavy criticism last year for not allowing racist sororityblacks to join is now in hot water again for a racist caption underneath a group photo.

A Snapchat photo of Chi Omega sorority sisters from the University of Alabama allegedly included the caption “got no nιggas.” All of the women in the photograph which included the racial slur are white.

According to a spokesperson for the sorority, the person who took the photo is no longer with the sorority and in a statement on Facebook, Chi Omega said that the caption does not reflect the sorority.

“What was expressed is absolutely reprehensible and completely inconsistent with Chi Omega’s values and policies,” the organization wrote. “Chi Omega took swift disciplinary action in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures. The woman who took the photo is no longer a member of the chapter.”

The sorority also confirmed that among their new members were several minorities.

“The Chi Omega chapter at the University of Alabama pledged a diverse group of young women, which included several new members who self-identified as minorities, including two African-American women.”

The university confirmed the new minority admissions, but added that the school is conducting its own investigation.

Last year The Crimson White student newspaper revealed that African-Americans were being systematically blocked from joining Chi Omega.

One user told the student newspaper that the racial slur was a mistake stemming from the application’s auto-correct.

“The snap was, apparently, an auto correct from the word “ninjas” to “n*****,”‘ the tipster said. “Now, you may know what “ninjas” means in s*********** slang but, before she explained it to me, I had not.”
