Despite bumpy waters, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are now official

The relationship being watched by millions has finally been made legal.  Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade tied the knot this weekend at the Chateau Artisan castle in Miami with a small gathering of mostly family and friends, all of whom were asked to sign a confidentiality agreement before the ceremony.

Union, who is 41, married the 32-year old Wade after he proposed to her back in December of last year.  His two sons, Zaire and Zion, helped with the marriage proposal.   He is also raising his nephew Dahveon.

John Legend performed at the ceremony, which had a 1930s juke joint theme associated with it .  The couple took a series of pictures and posted them on Instagram for the public to enjoy.  Gabrielle seemed to be happy, with the following message to the public:

“Happy… Got my Luther playin… There’s a #BeingMaryJane marathon on #BET, my #nebraska #huskers play today… All my loved ones are in town… Today is a good day… I must say I’m feeling blessed and humbled and just freakin happy… Let’s go!!! #thewadeunion.”

The couple has dealt with more than their share of controversy in the months coming up to the wedding.  Wade’s ex-wife,  Siohvaughn Funches-Wade, has been a thorn in the side of the relationship since it began.  She says that she’s been homeless and lost her children because of Dwyane and Gabrielle.  She was even arrested in a custody-related incident last year.

Maybe the future holds more tranquil waters for the happy couple.  We certainly wish them the very best.
