Losing weight is a battle that many struggle with. Some have a harder time than others because they believe these little lies that they hear about weight loss. Here are seven that should be tossed out according to celebrity fitness and nutrition educator JJ Virgin:

1. Soy is a healthy food: You will find soy in most vegetarian and vegan diets. The problem is that it is spun in aluminum casks, is full of GMOs, and is sprayed with pesticides. It has been shown to cause issues such as digestive problems, cognitive declines, and thyroid issues.

2. Low-fat and fat-free are better options: Anything that is not full fat is loaded with more sugar so that it tastes good. Fats are not as bad as they are always made out to be and in cases such as milk and yogurts, they are better to have than the alternatives.

3. Calories are calories no matter what you are eating: Not all calories are created equal.

    Certified Organic Soy, nproducts are the way to go. It should also say non GMO. It’s part of a plant based diet and an excellent protein calcium n B12 product. actually superior ps when u consume meat it’s been fed a diet of GMO Corn and SOY which is pesticide laced along w growth and antibiotics hormones. Thank the powerful corporate special interests that rep these industries along w dairy n cattle associations in our political system. Soy and Almond milk have 3x the calcium than cows milk which is loaded w bovine growth n other hormones never mind the animal cruelty involved in keeping a cow lacting 24/7. which involves rape and taking a living being against their will and turning them into a machine. Check out The Physicians Committee on Medicine made up of doctors and what they say about Milk. Get informed and protect and treat your body as your wealth because it is. This lifestyle is also good for the animals the planet and of course all of us.
