Hendersonville High School (HHS) in Tennessee, is in the middle of a court battle with a mother who is suing the Sumner County Schools because her daughter underwent discrimination and verbal abuse on account that she is African-American.

Shannon Rice, the former student of HHS, who is now being homeschooled, claims that although she was on the school’s basketball team, which is supposed to be all about working together as a team, she was ridiculed because of her color and often called the N-word.

The 16-year-old student’s mother, Wanda Rice, said that her daughter was a joker who used to laugh at just about anything, but she noticed that she had become reserved and quiet. She adds that when her daughter finally told her what was going on at the school, her first reaction was anger followed by sadness that something like this was still going on in schools today.

The distraught mother went on to say that she informed school officials about the harassment her daughter was being put through, but no action appeared to have been taken place. She added that since some of her daughter’s white female students and teammates physically abused her, she is claiming $300,000 in damages.

Rice also claims that school coaches heard the abuse her daughter was getting and instead of intervening, they just laughed along with the students. She adds that Shannon was even told that the locker rooms “smelled like Black people,” and the coaches did nothing about it.

Rice went on to say: “As a parent, it’s very shocking, as my daughter is recounting a story of where she had to endure her teammates — who are supposed to be a family.” She continued, “They say ‘We’re like a family,’ well, family doesn’t do that to you.”

In another case this year, the Sumner County Board of Education is being sued by Arnett and Sherry Hayes, who are claiming that their daughter was the victim of bullying and seeking damages in the amount of $300,000.

A third lawsuit, which was filed in April on behalf of a young boy who was a student at Portland High, is also claiming racial discrimination from a teacher.

Since the lawsuits began, several teachers or coaches have either resigned or accepted other positions at Hendersonville High School, but spokesman for Sumner County Schools, Jeremy Johnson, declined to comment on the pending lawsuits.

Guess who those students are learning their bad behavior from; their parents. If those white students think black is so terrible, they should stop flocking to the beaches during spring break and all the other holidays trying to turn black.

Good for this mother for taking the legal route first. I probably would have taken the legal right after I gave those stanking, wet dog smelling, low-life bastards a piece of mind. Fir starters, i would have reminded them that it was more of them, then my child in that locker room. So the stench that smelled, it came frim all their funky asses combined. Then, $300,000 isn’t enough. Since, school officials overlooked her pleas for help, they should be without jobs. Damn devils, make me sick! I hope someone harasses someone they love, and they then, and only then, remember the hurt this woman and her child endured. Filthy, stanking, scum if the earth. I hope the girls who made this girl’s life hell, get it back 10times worst. And i hope their parents have to suffer with their stanking asses.

I live near Toronto, Canada. I am making an attempt to form a real-world network of Brothers and Sisters with a certain perspective. Frankly, I don’t know what to do. I’m sick of the frustration at all the injustice. I know there are those out there that see things the way that I do. I’ve wracked my mind for years as to how to get in contact with them. I’ve finally decided that the direct approach is best. I really don’t have anything else. It’s hard to trust anybody nowadays, ,but we’re all dying in silence because we won’t venture to make these connections. We’re beaten, killed, raped, ridiculed (in the media), enslaved (mass incarceration) and almost anything else that you can name. My hope is that this this group becomes a community/group/network of Brothers and Sisters that can depend upon one another for support of all varieties. The only judgement that I am using as a measure of whom to contact at this point is only what I can see of people’s mindset based on their comments on certain kinds of sites. Let’s do this thing. The core of what I’m talking about is FUBU. Protect and defend one another. So, I hope you can hear what I’m saying.

Being that these kinds of people only pay attention hen you sue them; hit those pockets like you’re swinging for a home run. Sooner or later they will learn. If not, they will go broke in the meantime. You ought to sue the parents of the disgusting little bitches that caused all this.

Absolutely no one smells as bad as White people with their 20 stinking dogs and cats living with them couple that with the fact that most of them never bath but once or twice a week, their homes are not clean, dishes left in their sinks, this young lady needs to speak up for herself and tell it like it is! We as Black people are so much cleaner than they are. The only exception to that rule are our stinking crack heads!

Jacqueline: Anastasia’s comment doesn’t deserve a response. That’s just the tantrum of an hermit who eats roadkill and doesn’t even live anywhere near other people. She’s just repeating what she heard listening to Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck. And she probably has clogged sinuses from sleeping in that cave with her horny hound dog.

Well thats what yall ole azz blk ppl get for praying and beggin for integration no disrespect but all that time yall spent marching and praying and beggin the white man to let yall eat in their cheap diners and buy sheit from the cheap stores and dayum near gettin blk kids killed to go to white schools yall shouldve been fighting to have yalls own schools stores hospitals and everything the white man had separate but equal…yall shouldve demanded yalls tax dollars be used to maintain and improve yall own sheit. The only sheit yall was right to fight for was to vote to; to ride where the fuck yall want on a bus train plane; and to use whatever toilet yall wanted and whatever water fountain yall wanted to drink from. Eatin at some white greasy spoon aint no right thats just wantin to be up under white folks. If yall had played yall cards right we would be just other groups we could have the black version of little cuba or china town. Sheit the mexicans and latinos dayum near own wheaton MD. But yall was so busy trying to get a piece of the whitemans pie well they dont want yall to have it. Sheit blk ppl owned more sheit back in the day we had towns that was ours and we had blk wallstreet and Roseland and other towns and businesses that prospered. Why didnt yall keep that sheit goin strong and today we would be have a strong economic base and blk businesses putting our own to work but nooooooo yall just had to mix it up with the white folks like yall really thought they were gonna change and yall thought whiter was better. I know integration hurt blk businesses and they shut down becuz blks were all giddy about eating some nastg white folks good and pawing over their cheap sheit meanwhile you had blkwmn who were the best dressmakers and made better sheit than what whit folks was selling. Its seven months into 2014 and blk ppl still dealing with the same sheit yall was dealin with during fukking jim crow and 3-4 generations later yalk kids dealin with the same sheit; sorry but thats the fault of ole azz blk ppl that fought the wrong fight if yall had did sheit right we would have our own sheit includin good schools so blk girls and boys wouldnt have to put with the same sheit yall your parents grandparents your great grandparents had to deal with. Yall fukked up.
