An old adage says ‘love is blind.’ With that statement, one is able to love the person they are with without any approval from others. However, love can make some people do some interesting things. Wait a minute; let me say it this way. Whenever one’s priorities are not in order, emotional love will cause a person to act irrational.
Let me introduce you to Jennifer Butler, a British mother of three children who is about to leave her children behind while she goes off to marry a U.S. prisoner she met online. That’s right, you read it correctly. This mother is about to fly across the country to marry someone she met online.

According to reports, “She plans to set up a home with him when he is released on parole in September, leaving her kids with their dad, whom she split with in 2010.” All three of her children are under the age of 10-years-old. The U.S. prisoner who she plans to settle down with is Christopher Mosier, 23.

How did this relationship begin you may ask? It all started when Butler saw Mosier’s profile on writeaprisoner.com, which connects inmates with pen pals. After reading Mosier’s profile, she felt an immediate connection and began writing.
Butler has stated on numerous occasions that everyone deserves a second chance. Well, it looks like Mosier just might get his. He is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence in the United States for armed robbery.

“I felt sorry for him being locked up, nobody to talk to except other prisoners. Of course, I didn’t condone his crimes. But he was still a human being, and deserved to have a friend,” Butler said.

Butler saved up enough money and visited Mosier in Minnesota where he is serving his time. Unable to touch him because of an altercation he had previously with another inmate, they talked through a glass screen. Here’s the interesting fact – Butler says, “when I saw him walking down the corridor I knew he was the man for me. We talked for four hours and it felt like I’d known him all my life.”

The plan is when Mosier is paroled and he and Butler get married that she will send for her children. Truly, this is chilling.
