Together, actress Kerry Washington (Scandal) and Don Cheadle (House of Lies) made Emmy history as two African American actors, breaking through the lead acting categories at the same time with nominations last year.

 They might have started something big this year. Because not only are the two on the nominations again this year, but they are now joined by total of 11 Black actors and actresses nominated in all  of the acting categories.

Idris Elba for Luther (both in movie/miniseries actor category),
