She’s Back At It: Oprah to Star in “Selma”
Aside from being an inspiring role model, television talk show host, entrepreneur and author, the famed Oprah Winfrey is also able to call herself an award-winning actress.
Although Winfrey is best known for her talk show “The Oprah Winfrey Show”, she has also appeared in a plethora of successful films such as Beloved, The Color Purple, and The Butler—just to name a few.
As a woman of many hats, it is important for Winfrey to remain up-to-date in every area she uses to maintain the name she has made for herself. She has her own television network that houses various sitcoms and reality shows including Love Thy Neighbor and Iyanla Vanzant: Fix My Life, and she keeps up with current Hollywood stars on Oprah: Where Are They Now?
With all of these responsibilities, including running Oprah.com and publishing books and magazines, Winfrey still finds time to get back into acting. In fact, she is set to appear in and produce a film entitled Selma.
