Salutatorian Defies School’s request that he not mention God during graduation

Although it seems that Christians are being told to be quiet about their faith everywhere they go, it’s nice to hear of someone who stands up for what they believe, even if they have been ordered not to by those in authority.

It’s especially encouraging to hear of this happening, when it happens to be a teenager who’s standing up for what is right and demonstrating his faith in God.

One such youth is Brooks Hamby, a senior at Brawley Union High School, California, who had been chosen as salutatorian at the school’s recent graduation ceremony.

Despite being told repeatedly that he could not talk about his Christian faith during his intended speech and having three drafts rejected by school authorities, Hamby boldly defied their ruling and thanked God for His blessings.
