You would think that three-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, had their lives planned out for them in the entertainment industry, considering their father is comedian Nick Cannon and their mother is a famous R&B singer, but you’d be wrong.

According to Cannon, he will encourage his children to find their own way in life when they grow up, so that they can say they have achieved something of worth on their own. He adds that he will help them in whatever they choose to do, but would prefer if they stayed well away from show business.

The satirical comedian and host of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” who encourages others to achieve their desires, went on to say that it would be easy for his kids to get into the entertainment industry, but that’s not what he wants for them. He adds that if they do decide to become entertainers, it won’t be because their mother and father pushed them into it.

Cannon also doesn’t want his kids to have to try to live up to the famous name of their parents or use their names to get recognition in whatever they do. He adds that he would never encourage his children to audition for a show like “America’s Got Talent,” like other kids do.

Cannon recently caused a storm when he posted pictures of himself to promote his latest album “White People Party Music,” complete with a whitewashed face. Some people didn’t think it was quite as funny as he did himself.

According to Cannon, the reason he posted the pictures was to have fun. He added that there is a big difference between showing humor and inciting hatred and he believes that some people just don’t know how to laugh.

“I believe that we’ve evolved as a people that we can call out each other’s differences and have fun with it,” said Cannon. He continued to his critics that he has “never been the type to keep quiet about anything, so if I have to be the voice to step out and say, ‘Come on let’s talk about it. Let’s deal with it,’ then I’m open to it.”

As for those who are looking for a bit of controversy in their entertainment, Cannon says to keep an eye on him, because he’s going to be as controversial as he knows how, whenever he can be.
