Father And Son Attempt to Lure 15-Year-Old Girl Into a Van, Fight Witnesses

A father and son in the Chicago area were charged Saturday after they allegedly tried to lure a teen girl into a van, according to a report by the Chicago Tribune.

Two adults who came to assist the 15-year-old girl were then involved in a physical altercation with the the father and son.

Police arrested Paul Williams, 43, and his son Paul Williams Jr., 18, following the incident. The pair made sëxual comments to the teen-aged girl, who ran for help. The younger Williams got out of the car to chase the girl, according to police reports.

Others saw the incident, including another teen, the police report stated.

During the commotion, the older Williams, punched the gas and attempted to hit the intervening adults who came to the girl’s rescue. The van swerved, according to police, and tried to hit several pedestrians. Police caught both men at a city intersection.

They have been charged with attempted child abduction and indecent solicitation of a minor, according to the Will County Sheriff’s office.

The father is also charged with attempted aggravated battery for trying to run over people during their flight.
