If a person decides to marry or have a relationship with someone of the same gender, does every member of the family have to accept it?  The singer Monifah of R&B Divas Atlanta says that she does not.  Christians sometimes feel that they are being pressured to accept the gay lifestyle, even if they can’t stop someone from pursuing it.

But there are others who feel that this represents a form of bigotry and that Christians should stop being so judgmental.  The debate doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon and families are being ripped apart.  Ree at idatedaily.com talks more about it.

R&B singer Monifah of the reality TV series “R&B Divas Atlanta,” married her girlfriend Terez in Hawaii. The singer, who went public about her sëxuality on the show, was surrounded with love from her cast members, friends, and her mother and mother-in-law; however, her teen daughter from a previous relationship was a no-show.

Akemi vehemently disapproves of her mother’s relationship with Terez. She has discussed the matter with her mom on national TV, but the mother and daughter just can’t seem to see eye-to-eye on the issue. In a recent interview, Monifah was asked to share her thoughts about Akemi’s decision to not witness she and Terez’ special day.
