Whitney Houston’s Family Consider Legal Action to Block Making Movie | The Reel Network
The Whitney Houston Estate is reportedly livid over Angela Bassett’s plans to direct a TV biopic on the Lifetime network about the life of Whitney Houston. When contacted by TMZ, Whitney’s sister Pat Houston said, “Whitney is certainly worthy of more than a television movie. If Whitney were here today, this would not be happening.”
The film, which will premiere in 2015, will be based on the marriage of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. In a statement released by Lifetime, Angela spoke about the biopic saying,
“I have such regard for both Whitney’s and Bobby’s amazing talents and accomplishments; and I feel a responsibility in the telling of their story. Their humanity and bond fascinates us all. I’m beyond excited to have this opportunity to go behind the camera and into their world.”

Forget all of you ppl. Her life should be talked about for the simple reason, noone said Angela was doing it particularly about drug use, she’s doing a biopic. What more could be said about that, that we don’t already know? And, for all u smartazzes! Some of us would like to know the good she did also. Biopics are what they are biopics. Whatever, I would love to see the movie. The family is still lookin for money! smh
