A Nashville correctional officer has been arrested for having sex with an inmate.

Kenyetta Foxe, who worked as a correctional officer at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville, Tennessee, was arrested after it was found out that she had had sex with an inmate. Foxe, 28, later confessed to the relation.

It has also been reported that Foxe had admitted that she had not only slept with Michael Daniels, 28, but that she had done it on at least two occasions.

Daniels is currently serving a life plus 23 years’ sentence for murder. In 2006, he was found guilty for the death of Adrian Patton.

In his 2008 trial, the jury decided that he had ordered a fellow gang member of the Skyline Bloods, Timothy Evans, to carry out a hit against Patton. Daniels is considered to be one of Chattanooga’s most notorious gang members. His chances of leaving prison are slim to none, as his earliest parole date will be in 2072.

Foxe, who has been a correctional officer for just over a year (she was hired in February, 2013, according to Dorinda Carter, Communications Director with the Tennessee Department of Correction) has been charged with one felony count of sex with prisoners.

Other reports have uncovered that Foxe allegedly befriended several inmates via Facebook and Instagram and was in constant communication with them – in public and for everyone to see.

Any relationship with inmates whether physical or electronically, is strongly frowned upon. Davidson County Sherriff Daron Hall, who has forbidden correctional officers in his jails to have any relationships with inmates, said it is widely recognized that correctional officers cannot have any relationships with inmates, even on social media.

“She wouldn’t work here. It’s as simple as that. You can’t do that and work here,” Hall said.

Foxe has been booked, on a $10,000 bond, into the Metro jail.
