In a case that can only be classified as child abuse, a Vine user has posted a video that shows a toddler smoking marijuana. Although the video has since been deleted, the furor that it has raised isn’t about to die down any time soon.

The short video that was uploaded by Vine user Chief Smokes, shows a toddler sucking on a marijuana joint. He is seen wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt and is sitting on a toilet.

An adult’s hands are seen in the video as they are cupped around the joint. When the toddler exhales other people in the background can be heard bursting out into laughter.

The video was captioned:

Wow f***** up parents arents smh #kids #smokingweed #marijuana #badparenting #today #crazy #vinefame #smh #wow,

Vine users and others have come together to track and find the toddler and his parents. So far they haven’t been successful.

The hunt began when a user, NikoWavy, copied the video and shared it using his profile. He tagged it with a message, “I’m not black no more … Y’all [N-word] are something else smh.”

Users wrongly thought that he was the original owner of the video and sent him angry comments saying that it was “disgusting” and that it “isn’t even funny.”

NikoWavy deleted the video after telling everyone that he wasn’t responsible for the making of the video, and that he just posted it because he too was as upset by the video as everyone else.

“How can you not read my caption an[d] know I didn’t film that video?” he wrote adding that he wasn’t even a marijuana smoker himself.

A Reddit user has taken it to the authorities by saying that he has contacted Child Protective Services (CPS).

“After watching this I immediately downloaded the video, took screenshots and reported it to CPS in California as it is where the user is from,” said skirdoorider21, “This is no environment for a child to be in. He needs a good parent not someone to hurt him or bring him down.”
