New Book Challenges Christians For Being Too Judgmental, Unforgiving

When Ted Haggard, former pastor and founder of New Life Church in Colorado, was ostracized by his church members for allegedly paying a male masseur for sëx in 2006, it raised questions of why churches cannot forgive as God does in the Bible.

Barnabas Piper, an author who works for Lifeway Christian Resources, says that the book “Why We Eat Our Own,” written by Michael Cheshire, founding pastor of The Journey Church in Conifer, CO, points out some valid details of why churches and congregations are so judgmental of their own.
