Kevin Hart’s Ex-Wife Shares How She Moved On From Their Painful Breakup

torrei-hart-talks-sex-with-ex-husband-kevin-hart-the-jasmine-brandJamie Foster Brown, owner and publisher of Sister 2 Sister magazine interviewed Torrei Hart, former wife of Kevin Hart. In this candid interview, Torrei talks about their separation and some of the emotional turmoil that can come along with divorce. Torrei is a comedian in her own right and will be starring in the show Atlanta Exes on VH1.

In her interview, she opens up about the end of her relationship with Kevin Hart,   “It’s so painful. I just feel like there’s ways to do things, too. When we first split up, I took a lot of time to just heal. I feel like he hasn’t even really healed, because he went from one relationship right into another relationship.”

Torrei expresses that in long term relationships, especially marriages, it is difficult to see your ex move onto someone else and be happy. In the former wife’s case, she witnessed Kevin make this transition in a very public way to his new partner Eniko Parrish. He often refers to her as his “rib.” In comments Kevin made about his new relationship he explains, “The way that she stepped up to the plate and just accepted me for who I am, accepted me as a man coming in with kids and not even blinking an eye. I think she’s shown that she’s a woman who has my back…”

Torrei’s interview is heartfelt and really discusses the pitfalls of a partnership when one partner is trying to realize their dreams. She makes it a point to say she was there for the comedic mogul when he was not making his millions,“It’s easy to be somebody’s rib when you’re a millionaire. That’s just me being as honest as I can. Me, for instance: You’re working at City Sports and I’m taking you to your shows, you’re driving my car, you’re crashing my car several times, and I’m still there for you, supporting you, went out and got a job for the phone company and still making sure I got your back so you can pursue your dreams…That’s what ribs do!”

If anything, the interview gives a great perspective about healing, transition, and accountability in relationships, even after they end. Check out Sister 2 Sister and read the rest of the interview. It’s certainly worth the read and wisdom.

Well that is true about the “rib” instance. It does appear that people tend to “move on” after someone shaped the person up….

What do you mean she hasn’t moved on? A woman tells the truth about a situation and now she is bitter and needs therapy? (laughing) You better check yo’self!

All she is saying is … it’s easy to be a RIB when that person is a millionaire, but call me when you find a woman THAT fine kickin it with a short man who has nothing.

It has been said that his (ex) left him because of infidelity. So she knew exactly what she was doing, and excuse me. That is her last name as well. If she wants to keep it, good for her, you know her children carry that last name as well. I can see why it would be important for her to remain the same as her children.

Once (some) men get a little money in their pocket, they want to go and get what they call better (kitt-cat) Trust me, it’s never better, and he’s definitely going to pay for it. It’s just another form of prostitution. If you look at some of these entertainers and atheletes there is no way in hell they would be with the women they have. You pay to play. Get broke and see what happens to that so called rib! ( ha ha ha ha)

Sometimes a man will do this because they can’t face the
mistakes they made. I easier to hide it. If she’s so great why is he not marring her? Something about her that makes me feel she’s not as real as she seems to be(without the money would she be there)

You are a 1000% right if she was real he would have married her. She is his pain killer! As the wife stated he has not healed. His band-aid this “rib” and his comedy.

You guys are so right. Case in point, look at Terrell Owens. When he was riding high in his football career he only dated women who he thought were beautiful or models. Now that he has nothing, did you see who he married? A poor white postal worker…and that marriage has even ended. I agree with Torrei Hart, if you are with your man through thick and thin, through the days of eating oatmeal and bread for dinner, you are the rib. All of the other women that come along after he is successful are just women looking for a paycheck or mealticket.

Teddy Parker, Corbin, join hands and go in search of your souls. You are in dire need of it. To my Sistah Nekisha Kee-Agboda, thank you for being righteous and real. Men like Hart and Harvey are investment opportunities. When the gravey train is no longer running fast and hard down the the tracks, you’ll see your “Ribs,” in court getting their pay checks–you effin ungrateful idiots. Torrei Hart keep your name and your head up! Peace.

Like my mother said a negro start making 25 cents over lunch money they start thinking they need something better. She stuck with that little short ass when he didn’t have a pot to piss and a window to throw it out of. Well what goes around comes back. He’s not that funny to me anyway with all that damn screaming.

Torrie, you go girl. It’s easy to step in the picture when that person is making dollars! I am sure if he was some broke-ass black man, Eniko wouldn’t have given him a second look. Yeah, it’s easy to step in when that person got houses, cars, on televson, in the movies, etc. But what about that person who helped you get to where you are now? What about the person who fell in love with you when you didn’t have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out. When I make my millions, you best believe if I didn’t know you when I didn’t have sh*t, I still ain’t going to know you, because I don’t know if you love me for me or for my millions. When you break up or divorce someone, you definitely need to take some time to get your mind together before you start a new relationship. If you don’t, you definitely is going to get the short-end.
