Despite its label, an “open relationship’ is a misnomer.

People tend to not be “open” about their preference for open relationships. There are a few who would find no qualms admitting their relationship arrangement, but most try to keep it hush-hush.

Personally, this set-up is not for me. I have my sudden, although, very seldom streaks of insecurity that I can confidently and indubitably say, it won’t work for me. The liberal side of my brain is telling me for as long as all are consensually involved, then who am I to be complaining?

Whatever fills their twinkies, right?

Here’s my list of Pros and Cons of open relationships:

Pro: You open yourself to learning more about your sëxuality, preferences, styles…and with those of other people. It can be very exciting as well.

Con: Are you sure you are totally cool watching your boo being intimate with another person? If you have the slightest bit of insecurity then scenes of your significant other getting it on with another person is a tough image to shove away.
