Cuba Gooding Jr and his high school sweetheart call it quits after 20 years of marriage

Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. and his wife Sara Kapfer have been a staple in Hollywood.  The two have been married for 20 years, and it seemed that they would be together forever.  But Hollywood is not a place where relationships usually last for forever, and this is one that is going to come to an end.

According to MSN, the couple has decided to file for divorce and bring their marriage to a halt.  They filed papers in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, stating that their marriage has been hit with “irreconcilable differences.”   Kapfer is requesting joint legal and physical custody of their three children, and child support has not yet been determined.

The two have been close since high school, and married in 1994.  This was right before he won an Oscar in the film, “Jerry Maquire.”  African Americans might know him best from his role in the hit film, “Boyz in the Hood.”
