Not only is singer Chris Brown in trouble with the law but now his bodyguard is as well. Christopher Hollosy has been Brown’s bodyguard for a while. He was arrested and convicted for an assault that happened in October of 2013. This is the same incident that Brown is currently being charged for as well. Hollosy’s sentencing is set for June 25th for a misdemeanor assault charge.

In the early morning hours of October 27th Chris Brown and his bodyguard got into an altercation with a man who was staying at the same hotel as Brown. The singer punched the man in the face and then Hollosy stepped in and punched him as well. Hollosy claims that the man was trying to get onto Brown’s tour bus and that is why he punched him. Other reports from that night as well as testimony from the victim, 20 year old Parker Adams, say that the man and his friend were trying to get in a photo that Brown was taking.

Should Brown be convicted of the felony assault charge, he will definitely be looking at prison time.

He is still on probation for the beating of his then-girlfriend, singer Rihanna. That altercation happened outside of a night club in 2009. If Brown is indicted he could face up to four years in prison. Brown claims that he was on the tour bus and that he never hit Adams. Soon after Brown’s arrest, Adams filed a lawsuit for $3 million. He is looking for $1.5 million from Hollosy and $1.5 million from Brown. Bernard Grimm, Hollosy’s lawyer, states that Adams is just doing this as a get-rich-quick scheme and only suffered a bloody nose.

Right after his arrest in Washington D.C., Brown went to an anger management rehabilitation facility back in California. That did not last long however as he was asked to leave in the middle of March because he was violating their rules. He has been in custody in Washington since. His trial is set for April 23rd, 2014.
