Bill O’Reilly: Beyoncé Only Puts Out “Exploitive Garbage”

By  |  725 Comments

It’s old news that Bill O’Reilly isn’t a fan of hip-hop, but as it turns out he’s not a fan of Beyoncé beyonce
either.  At issue is Beyoncé’s most recent album, which (according to critics) has raunchy songs, accompanied by even raunchier videos.

During a discussion on Monday with Russell Simmons, O’Reilly shredded the idea that Beyoncé is somehow a role model to young girls.

O’Reilly claimed that her most recent single”Partition” was “inexplicable” and “exploitive garbage.”

“She puts out a new album with a video that glorifies having s*x in the back of a limousine. Teenage girls look up to Beyoncé, particularly girls of color…Why on Earth would this woman do that?”

He continued: “Why would she do it when she knows the devastation that unwanted pregnancies…and fractured families—why would Beyoncé do that?”

O’Reilly is not the first person to take issue with the female images Beyonce promotes with her most recent project. After the singer co-opted a portion of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s TED talk to paint herself as a feminist, many naysayers questioned Beyonce’s feminist credentials.

As Policy Mic‘s David Levesley noted, Beyoncé was quick to jump on the feminist bandwagon, but “of the 45 artists listed in the liner notes to Beyoncé’s feminist opus (which includes writers, producers and directors), only six are women.”

But does O’Reilly really have a leg to stand on here? Rumors of O’Reilly having an extramarital affair and then having his wife’s boyfriend investigated swirled around for years.  There is also the sexual harassment lawsuit filed against him by a former co-worker who revealed some very embarrassing details about his sexual preferences.  So when it comes to discussions of morality, one wonders whether O’Reilly should throw any rocks considering that his home is built mostly of glass.

I do not agree at all. Growing up there were women like Lil’ Kim and Foxy Brown, but my mother and grandmother did such a great job of differentiating entertainment from entertainers from role models. There has to be some responsibility taken by parents and grandparents. Prince and Rick James made plenty of “raunchy” songs, but never got this much drama about it. Bill just needs attention, and I am over him, and everyone else blaming Beyonce for the things they don’t want to take responsibility for that they see their young girls doing. I need people to stop displacing their lackluster parenting.

Thank you for saying what you did. Some Black people feel that they have to defend whites more than whites defend themselves. These types of “Negroes” would have been great on the plantation and are still slaves in their psyches.

You are right Imhotep, he paid off a woman who exposed his sexaul nasty ways and he wants to talk about Beyonce? Go to confession Bill and confess your own sins.

While I truly agree that we all need to be role models for our own kids, and we shouldn’t depend on so called celebrities, but kids are impressionable. The bottom line is —- He’s right! I understand that we don’t like to hear others address issues, entertainers, etc. that are within our race;”Our Community”, but as my parents often said, “The truth is the light regardless of who tells it!”

What people fail to mention is Beyonce is talking about doing grown woman stuff with her HUSBAND! I see no problem with her talking about getting down with her husband. Beyonce is not singing about being a jump off as so many other artists will do.

      March 14, 2014 at 7:35 am

People fail to mention that bcus for the bulk of her career, she was not married. The messages she sends out to others are destructive to the family unit whether she is married or not.

Not a fan of Redneck Reilly! He’s not the only one who has this view!
I said something about Beybouncey along time ago! She is no role model, but there are young women who model themselves after her! As I’ve stated before, I thought I was watching a strip show when she performed on the Grammy’s. The media power wants her in that position to keep our young women in the position of being demeaned.Miley Cyrus same purpose!!

On this one i must agree. I guess even O’Reilly can get it right one time. Or as we use to say, even Ray Charles can see this one. . Frankly I don’t care what white folks are doing only what my folks do. We need to stop comparing what we want for us based on what white folks are doing.

    March 13, 2014 at 12:25 pm

I do not agree with anything bill says but he is RIGHT.Bey is a hot mess!!! And u cannot compare her to miley.First of all miley is a child compared to bey.And white women are not steryo typed in the same
sexual way black women are….Rap /hip hop have really distroyed the black community and we don’t even know it! We are the only race of people that our black men degrade his black women in songs- movies -videos and we dance and sing right along with it!! And we do it to ourselves..i will keep and will continue to keep my 13yr old daughter as far away from her as possible…bey is XXX nasty raunchy..adults only…MS SARAH BARTMAN and many others are turning in their graves…let lil blue sing along…ride that wood and look at that fattie and swerve in that good good…?.great job black folk we should be so proud

    • Mocha

      March 13, 2014 at 2:33 pm

Tara I am with you on so many levels. I say the same thing as to how we are the only race of people that degrade our women in so many areas. I pray all the time for the Lord to wake our people up!

he talk about her when he had to pay out a lot of money to his producer for wanting to have kinky sex what do you call that?

  9. freedomchild

    March 13, 2014 at 1:12 pm

Beyonce is a grown married woman. What message we should see is the fact that she got married before she exploded her sexual business all over the airwaves, and the fact that she is singing these songs to her HUSBAND who is on the tracks with her. I don’t hear any comments about what Jay-Z says…

  10. Esmith

    March 13, 2014 at 1:20 pm

Bill Riley is right on this one. I have a granddaughter & I wouldn’t won’t her listening to or seeing this garbage. I wonder if she would want Blue Ivy listening to garbage of this nature. . She is an entertainer true but think of the effect that entertainment will have on on others. I thought the act that she & J-Z did on the Grammy Awards should not have been allowed when families may have been watching the award show. I don’t plan to watch Grammy award’ snext year. Poor Janet Jackson the backlash she received during nipple gate at the Superbowl. She never recovered from that incident & now look what we look forward to seeing.

Beyonce is not concerned about being a role model to anyone. Her only concern is for them to buy her CDs.

    March 13, 2014 at 2:23 pm

I agree with O`Reilly although i care less about many of his opinions. Beyonce is the worst, of the worst in my opinion. A bad influence on young black people. All about money she is.

  13. Florence

    March 13, 2014 at 3:37 pm

I agree with you Ms. Lawton. Weather we want to accept it or not parents are not the only role models for our children. And we all know that Beyonce has been in the fore front when it comes to being recognized and idolized by our younger population of girls and young women so STOP IT!! I have never looked at Miley Cyrus or beyonce for that matter as any kind of role model, I take to people like Cicely Tyson and others within her catagory and make sure my daughters and granddaughters do also.

Race baiting..racist catering is what this idiot’s specialty is, and nothing else of substance! His secret mantra is: “anything black, I will attack..Anything of color I will smother,..Even your tokens I’m choking”. of other’s, never negotiate or tolerate. I seen racist on both sides acting in similar fashion hatred is hatred. Any flaw is expounded, any misstep in broadcasted.

Shouting Bill O’Reilly down does not change what Beyonce is doing or has done to degrade young black girls to feel they are only sex objects and even the FLOTUS, once said that Beyonce was a role model for her daughters. It is sad that Black America feel that just because you are black you cannot do any thing wrong, true the rappers has worked hard to destroy a positive image, not only the rappers but teachers, preachers politicians as well as many moms and dads it is time we step up man up and woman up and be the people we were created to be.

    March 13, 2014 at 7:54 pm

Many people feel that Bill O’Reilly is a sexual pervert with no credentials to question anyone’s sexual exploits whether on an album or a record. O’Reilly is playing to his old white audience, ages 68 and over who watch his show and will be a racist until they die. Bill O’Reilly just like Beyonce is in his profession for the money and neither could care less about what image they send to others. Remember O’Reilly is a sexual predator. It’s like the skillet calling the kettle black. O’Reilly is a racist and a bigot period.

Plus, I’ve never heard of her selling dope, like some of you women’s men do, getting arrested, fighting, slapping a camera person like Naomi Campbell, or owing back taxes or stealing from poor folks like your preachers and leaders of non profits!! She is working, that’s all. And I saw Madonna make a book back then bumping with Big Daddy Kane and others. White girls loved her! Stop falling for the Whitey knows best you chicken hearted Negroids!! Ka,Ba,Sehkmet. .

Just because an entertainer makes a lot of money and sells out venues does not mean they are a positive representation of black people..
She makes a lot of money
she singing to her husband.. none of that matters
Bounce is a disgrace really to black women in a nice nasty kind of way
She’s beautiful she’s light skinned and she shows all that cootie cat just what they like
look how Halle Berry had to win her an Oscar
I’m just glad my girl Mary J has more class in her pinky finger than Bounce has in her whole body
      # brainwashedblacks only see money and fame ..
The dope dealers mama is still proud of her son..

She’s the Devil. I don’t like her now. When she first started singing. She had class. I enjoyed her music. Now, she’s the devil. I’m not interested in listening to her music any longer.

There are a number of new posts if you haven’t visited lately! Please stop by and read what’s new.

Webster’s Online Dictionary defines the work “foolish” in this fashion : “having or showing a lack of good sense or judgment”
Full Definition of FOOLISH : 1 : lacking in sense, judgment, or discretion 2a : ABSURD, RIDICULOUS b : marked by a loss of composure : NONPLUSSED 3: INSIGNIFICANT, TRIFLING — fool•ish•ly adverb

You know America, there are times that watching the news is just not a good idea! We saw a report of Paul Ryan’s most recent foolishness on CNN yesterday. This is what makes our quest of Racial Reconciliation in America so necessary, next to impossible and interestingly enough very timely. We are undeterred.

Glad to see many people calling this one as it is and are not trying to defend nor excuse Beyonce this time. People of color don’t like it when Whites criticize us, but when the criticism is valid we need to go to our sister and respond in such a fashion to let her know that we hold her and ours to a higher standard. If the appalling video with the raunchy lyrics was not out there for everyone to see that is one thing. If Miley Cyrus can be criticized, then so can any artist of color who performs in such a fashion. Whether she is talking about “what grown folks do” or that she is performing with her husband is no excuse. We can’t give Beyonce a pass without creating a double standard. And whether it was meant for “mature audiences”, it will still be seen and heard by children.Let’s clean up our own homes, then we don’t have to worry about any criticism from others.

Hello and thank you for the recipe. I am going to make these in about 10 minutes. There is no reference to browning the beef. It may be way off course but I’m going to lightly brown the meat first. Instead of cooking the onion in the browning meat I like the idea of folding it in uncooked. I’m just weary of getting the beef to cook sufficiently while stuffed inside the peppers along with the other ingredients. I guess we’ll know in about an hour. I’ll follow up with the results.
