“I can’t speak on Apollo, but I can say that Peter Thomas doesn’t have anything to do with a bank fraud scandal to my knowledge,” actress Cynthia Bailey told Jet Magazine. “The feds are not sitting outside of our house. That is just not accurate information…” she also stated.

Phaedra Parks has recently been in drama surrounding her husband, Apollo Nida’s arrest for multiple counts of fraud and identity theft. This weekend Park’s co-star Cynthia Bailey spoke out to deny new reports that Parks husband, Nida’s BFF, Peter Thomas, was involved in the alleged scam.

Thomas himself claimed to be blindsided when the news of Nida’s arrest hit the web. “I don’t know nothing about it,” he told Sister 2 Sister at the time. “I have absolutely no comment on his arrest. I just have to wait, like everyone else, to see how it plays out,” he continued. “I hope that everything will play out in the best form.”

According to filings with the Georgia Secretary of State obtained by Radar, Thomas and Nida had no official business links.

As many may recall, Nida has been accused of overseeing a complicated scheme that saw him establish fake companies to mine individuals’ personal information, which he then used to open fraudulent bank accounts and used them to deposit stolen checks.

He was arrested on January 23 and released the following day on a bail of $25,000 with strict conditions that prohibit him from drinking alcohol or leaving Atlanta area unsupervised.

A delay in the trial until March has been asked by his attorneys.

Cynthia and Peter met 18 years ago on a flight from Miami to New York. They reunited three years ago and started dating. The wedding took place on July 24 at Atlanta’s grand Fernback Museum of Natural History. (www.dailymail.com)
