A big reality TV star is now facing some even bigger problems. Phaedra Parks from the Real Housewives of Atlanta is under fire for alleged business dealings by her husband, Apollo Nida. Nida has been accused of perpetrating numerous financial frauds against unsuspecting people, giving him over $3 million for his trouble.

Currently, Nida faces up to 30 years in prison for his alleged behavior and his wife is supporting him as he is being accused by the feds of various forms of financial fraud, which is taken very seriously in the United States.

Phaedra and Apollo have two children together, so a prison sentence of this magnitude would permanently disrupt her family. Parks is 44 years old. Her husband has faced felonies in the past, but he claimed that his criminal days were behind him. The question being asked now is how much she knew and when she knew it.

According to the UK Daily Mail, the Secret Service says that they have “other targets” in the scam, but haven’t named Parks as one of them. According to the agency, Nida set up a group of fake companies to get data from credit rating agencies. With this data, he allegedly gave his accomplice, Gayla St Julien, the social security numbers and names of customers so they could be used to secure auto loans.

It is said that St. Julien pretended to be as many as 10 different women in order to get the loans, which were then paid into 40 different bank accounts. She also is accused of stealing retirement checks from Delta Airlines employees.

For his role, Apollo has been charged with aggravated identity theft, bank fraud, embezzlement and theft and conversion of public money. St. Julien cooperated with investigators and recorded Nida in conversation in order to get a lighter sentence herself.

The question now is whether or not Phaedra herself was involved in the fraud.

“I cannot see how she can remain out of it,” said Angela Stanton, a critic of Parks and author.
“Where did she think her husband go all his money from? He didn’t have a job but on the TV show boasted about spending thousands of dollars at strip joints.”

Stanton is the author of the book, “Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell the Truth and Shame the Devil.”

In the book, Stanton wrote about her friendship with Parks and claimed that Parks was involved in an auto theft ring. Parks turned around and sued Stanton for $30 million dollars.

Parks was due to have a spinoff show called “Rich People Problems.” Although her current legal situation puts her new show in jeopardy, she might have some good meat to get the show started.
