Fox Detroit news reported on News Year Day, 25 year old Brandon Glenn shot and killed his wife, Milena Moore of Southfield, Michigan. The couple got into an argument and 45 year old Bettye Adams stood nearby. Bettye Adams is the mother of Brandon Glenn.

The argument between Glenn and Moore heated up. Moore tried to leave their home when Glenn shot her. Sources say Adams put Milena’s body in her car and drove off. Adams was supposed to be heading to a local hospital, where Moore could be treated.  Adams has stated to sources that she panicked, fearing the police would blame her for the crime, she instead drove home.

The body of Milena Moore, 23 was later found behind the wheel of the car in her mother –in-law’s driveway on 17300 block of Lenore Street. The Moore family has stated that Milena was trapped in a violent relationship. The family hopes the death of Milena will serve as warning for others trapped in vicious violent relationships to get away and seek help. African Americans, especially African American Women, suffer deadly violence from family members at rates decidedly higher than for other racial groups in the United States. However, it is observed that research concerning family violence among African Americans is inadequate. Overall, African Americans were victimized by intimate partners at significantly higher rates than persons of any other race between 1993 and 1998. Black females experienced intimate partner violence at a rate 35% higher than that of white females, and about 22 times the rate of women of other races. Black males experienced intimate partner violence at a rate about 62% higher than that of white males and about 22 times the rate of men of other races. (

Milena Moore had one son. On her Facebook page, Milena Moore’s relatives and friends mourned her tragic passing, remembering the victim for her big heart and gentle spirit.

Glenn is awaiting arraignment on a murder charge. His mother faces a count of aiding in a crime.
