The mother of the missing 7 week old baby in Memphis, TN appeared in court Tuesday alongside her high-profile attorney, Leslie Ballin. Andrea Walker has been held in police custody on a $500,000 bond while police investigate the disappearance of her baby, Aniston Walker.

The mother was arrested after telling police that she had left the baby home alone with her 3 year old son while she took her 5 year old son to school. When she returned she said the baby was missing but the 3 year old was still there.

Walker’s attorney, Leslie Ballin appealed to the judge that his client was not a flight risk and held a fulltime job at the IRS and had no prior arrests.

The judge took the evidence, or lack thereof, along with the defense lawyer’s plea and decided to reduce Andrea Walker’s bond from $500,000 to $250,000. He also reduced charges against the mother from four charges of aggravated child abuse down to two charges. It’s the two aggravated child abuse charges against the 3 year old that were dropped.

Memphis police spent only three days searching for the baby and still have no leads or further developments in the case.

Police searched for Baby Aniston in and around the home using cadaver dogs including at a nearby pond but came up empty handed in their search efforts. Three days into the search for the baby, they gave up on the search efforts stating that they had looked everywhere they could.

As far as police are concerned, Ms. Walker remains the chief suspect in what the police call “suspicious circumstances”. Police have stated that Ms. Walker has given them “deceptive and vague” answers to their questions so far.

Police appear to have stopped searching for the baby. Instead, they have told local media that they are hoping someone comes forward with information soon. With the newly reduced bond, Andrea Walker may be released soon.
