The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 58-year old, Clarence Terry. Terry who has HIV was charged with exchanging sex for drugs with a 16-year old teenage girl. Terry was supplying heroin, cocaine and Dilaudid to the unnamed teen in exchange for sex. Dilaudid (hydromorphone) is an opioid pain medication or narcotic, used to treat moderate to severe pain (

Investigators say that Terry has known the victim for almost five years because he used to work for a family member’s company.  The teenage girl told deputies that this all started when he and three other men came to her house to help her family move. Terry asked her if she was using. She told him she was taking Dilaudid, a painkiller. He offered her black tar heroin, and though she told him she didn’t like to use it, she kept it.

The next day, Terry shocked the girl by coming into her room and kissing her, the report said. A week later, he asked for her to perform a sεx act on him, and she did. In all, the two traded sεx acts for drugs at least 16 times, including having intercourse five or six times. Terry used a condom some of the times, according to the report.

He never asked for money for the drugs – only sεx – and asked the girl if she would be willing to also have sεx with his other drug buyers. She told deputies she said no.

Saturday night, the girl conducted a controlled call with Terry and he was recorded acknowledging that the two had sεx. On Sunday, deputies stopped him as he left his house on the 900 block of North J Street. He made “spontaneous utterances” about being HIV positive, the report said.

Terry declined to talk to a deputy without a lawyer. He was charged with 16 counts of sεxual assault with 16- or 17-year-old and 16 counts of having sεx while infected with HIV without informing his partner. He is booked into Palm Beach County Jail and is being held without bond.
